In 2018, for the third consecutive year, Panidor renewed its IFS Food 6 certification, reaching the Higher Level.
IFS Food is directed to the companies of the agri-food sector and its mission is to evaluate the quality and safety of the manufacturing processes and of the marketed products through audits.
IFS is a globally recognized and valued certification that ensures the certified companies’ compliance and constant improvement of the products and services. This is one of the most demanding certifications in the world and it allows Panidor to take its products cross-boarder.
It is estimated that there are 1.6 billion people in the world who are Muslims. This is the religion that shows the biggest growth in the last years, currently representing more than 23% of the world population.
What is a Halal product?
“Halal” means lawful or allowed.
In the Islamic context, the term Halal refers to all types of food which are allowed to be consumed in the Muslim religion.
The Portuguese Halal Institute certified around 80 of Panidor’s references, which allows us to offer our clients a safety guarantee from the religious and food points of view.
What is Gluten?
It is a protein fraction that is present in some cereals, such as wheat, rye, barley and oat. Its consumption is advised against intolerant people in order to stop celiac disease.
This disease has been increasing in recent years and forces celiac patients to maintain a gluten-free diet throughout their life. It is estimated that the celiac population represents 1% of the world population.
Based on Panidor’s commitment, which combines quality and innovation, we reinvented the way of creating gluten-free products. We adapted our most traditional recipes and created products that will delight the consumer, as we maintained the traditional flavor, without neglecting their dietary limitations.
With this contribution, Panidor testifies that it is possible to combat food restrictions without sacrificing the consumer to a diet without flavor or options.
Panidor is certified as a “Gluten Free” manufacturing company, and in this way, it commits to its Client to create healthy options that appeal to celiac consumers
