From a small family business, today we are the number one manufacturer in Portugal in the area of deep-frozen bakery products and pastries, present in almost every Portuguese home and on every continent.

"I come from a family of bakers and it's with pride that I look back on the journey I've made, the result of a risky bet I made over 27 years ago.

At home, bread has always held a special place, and was considered an essential element at the table.

I've always valued the tradition of Portuguese bakery, teachings which I've never relinquished, notwithstanding the fact that Panidor is now the leading national bakery.From a very early age I got involved in my parents' bakery. Today, I continue to do so and to pass on the teachings that were instilled in me, to be able to continue providing the market with bread made with passion.

"I joined the Panidor experience around 20 years ago and I've been devoted to it since I graduated from university. Trained in Food Quality, Panidor is where I learned everything about the business, absolutely everything, from raw materials and manufacturing to logistics. In order to guarantee food safety, as well as the quality of each product that leaves our production lines, we have our own quality control laboratory.


The raw materials are therefore subject to a rigorous analysis process upon reception, in order to ensure that they meet all the necessary requirements.


Our laboratory is mainly focused on the analysis of flours, which are our main raw material. We have equipment that helps us understand the behaviour in the production line of all the batches of flour received, thus guaranteeing the quality of our products.

IFS Food

The IFS food certification is one of the most demanding in the world for the agri-food sector.

This certification certifies the compliance of all the quality management and food safety processes, keeping Panidor at the highest level of excellence! 

Having an IFS Food certification also means demanding this strictness from our suppliers and, of course, adhering to strict processes in all sectors of our company.

In 2022, Panidor renewed its IFS certification for the 7th consecutive year.

Gluten Free

Gluten is a protein fraction that is present in some cereals such as wheat, rye, barley and oats.

Coeliac disease, an illness consisting severe intolerance to gluten, has been on the rise in recent years and forces these consumers to maintain a gluten-free diet throughout their lives.

Based on Panidor's commitment to quality and innovation, we have reinvented the way in which gluten-free products are made. We have adapted our most traditional recipes and created products that maintain a traditional flavour, despite being gluten-free.

This proves that it is possible to combat food restrictions without having to limit the consumer to a diet that lacks in flavours or options.

Our Gluten Free products are certified by APC, the Portuguese association for people with coeliac disease.

HALAL

In the Islamic context, the term "Halal" refers to all types of food which consumption is permitted by the Muslim religion.

The Portuguese Halal Institute has certified around 80 of Panidor's references, which allows us to offer our customers a guarantee of safety from a religious and dietary point of view.
